Defibrillators now required in S. Jordan

"SOUTH JORDAN -- In an effort to save lives, the city of South Jordan now requires buildings and facilities to have defibrillators on hand in case someone goes into cardiac arrest."

And what will people lose now that that money is not available for other uses? In other words, it costs money to get defibrillators, so now that money cannot be spent on other things. There is more to life than just living as long as possible. What about the journey to get to the end? Should it not be as enjoyable as possible?
